God told Jeremiah to write to His people, exhorting them to live and love and thrive, even though they were exiles in Babylon (and not in the home they had been promised - but that is another story!), because God wanted them to remember in the midst of that exile:
"For I know the plans I have for you . . . plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
This message still encourages us, thousands of years later, with the added promise of hope we have in Jesus. Susie Larson wrote, "Run to Jesus with everything in you and get a vision for where He's taking you." (Prevail: 365 Days of Enduring Strength from God's Word, Day 178) Our Jeremiah 29:11 Silver Plated Dog Tag was created as a reminder that God is for us and our hope is always in Him, whatever our circumstances.
